Analyst

ATI Advisory is currently seeking an Analyst to join our company. 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze relevant legislation, statutes/regulations, and policies, and summarize for internal and external audience.
  • Serve as lead policy analyst across range of Medicare/Mediciad programs.
  • Solve problems and use judgement to identify and question key assumptions that drive analysis and recommendations.
  • Design research protocols and conduct qualitative and quantitative research on a diverse array of healthcare and aging services issues affecting older adults.
  • Develop summaries, research papers, and PowerPoint presentations to provide strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Think creatively about analyses and datasets to deliver value to clients.
  • Responsible for quality and accuracy of analysis.
  • Manage projects from conception and kickoff through final delivery of project.
  • Develop content expertise on a range of healthcare and aging issues.
  • Present to clients on subject matter.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in public policy, public health, public administration, business, statistics, economics, mathematics, or other related field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience preferred; including consulting, research, program administration, or operations specific to Medicare and/or Medicaid.
  • Experience and comfort in independently analyzing data, health legislation, regulations and policy/program information, preparing written summaries and visual displays that clearly convey information.
  • Ability to manage and lead tasks and lead small projects, providing critical insights into project design and execution.
  • Ability to contribute to business development by supporting firm’s thought leadership efforts (e.g., data analysis used in external press) and helping to manage client relationships.
  • Ability to problem solve independently and work with incomplete information.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to synthesize extensive research findings into relevant insights.
  • High level of initiative, quick learning ability, and resourcefulness.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Comfort presenting analyses to external audiences.
  • Demonstrated interest and expertise in at least one area: healthcare policy and regulatory environment; healthcare financing and delivery; Medicare and/or Medicaid; value-based care; Medicare Advantage; long-term services and supports; and aging.
  • High degree of professional maturity.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • SAS programming, financial modeling, or other quantitative research experience
  • Understanding of consulting environment

  • Use automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources.
  • Use statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets.

  • Present to clients on subject matter.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in public policy, public health, public administration, business, statistics, economics, mathematics, or other related field.
  • 4-6 years of relevant work experience preferred; including consulting, research, program administration, or operations specific to Medicare and/or Medicaid.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.
  • High-level experience in methods and processes for managing large-scale databases.
  • Ability to translate requirements in writing and verbally for non-technical audiences and clients.
  • Experience and comfort in independently analyzing data and information, preparing written summaries and visual displays that clearly convey information.
  • Ability to manage and lead tasks and lead small projects, providing critical insights into project design and execution.
  • Ability to problem solve independently and work with incomplete information.
  • Comfort presenting analyses to external audiences.
  • Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, Python.
  • Proficiency in statistics and statistical packages like Excel, SPSS, SAS to be used for data set analyzing.
  • Knowledge of data visualization software like Tableau.
  • Knowledge of how to create and apply accurate algorithms to datasets in order to find solution.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Director - Medicare Integration and LTSS Innovations Practice

ATI Advisory is currently seeking a Director to join our company. 

ATI is at an exciting juncture in our growth, and we’re seeking a Director to join our team! The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver with experience leading analytic projects and teams, has consulting expertise working with a variety of clients (or experience similar to consulting), can lead a project/analysis from conceptualization through project deliverable and completion, has strong subject matter expertise in at least one of the following: Medicare, Medicaid, LTSS, dual eligibles, managed care; and has interest in growing with our company.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple clients and lead engagements as primary point of contact with executive-level clients.
  • Manage multiple projects including project teams, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Build, deepen, and strengthen the value we deliver to clients and our relationships with them.
  • Contribute to business development through developing new lines of consulting services and new client relationships, and cultivating existing relationships.
  • Contribute substantially to mission and impact through analysis, content creation, and as appropriate public speaking/representation of ATI.
  • Lead primary research and/or quantitative analyses.
  • Mentor and support professional development of junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Strong subject matter expertise in at least one of the following: Medicare, Medicaid, LTSS, dual eligibles, managed care; with a preference for candidates familiar with and proficient in various data assets in at least one of the above-mentioned subject areas (e.g., public data such as Medicare Advantage enrollment files; Medicare and/or Medicaid public use files; claims/encounter data; survey data)
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant work-experience consulting to/supporting a wide range of organizations and/or clients in healthcare and aging.
  • Considerable experience conducting and delivering high quality healthcare research, strategic analysis and recommendations, and/or policy analysis and recommendations.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and knowledge across broad range of projects and sectors.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) appropriate to different audiences and stakeholders, including strong presentation skills.

ATI Advisory is currently seeking an Intern to join our company. 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on a diverse array of healthcare and aging services issues affecting vulnerable populations.
  • Draft written summaries, Excel documents/models, and/or PowerPoint presentations to provide strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Review external reports and publications and develop content expertise on a range of healthcare and aging issues. Summarize relevant findings to share internally with team.
  • Provide project management support, including preparation of meeting materials, scheduling meetings, and attending meetings to keep team aligned on client feedback and next steps.
  • Ensure website content is updated with news, events, and content that ATI has produced.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and quantitative skills
  • Ability to synthesize research findings into relevant, concise insights
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Tableau or SAS programming considered a plus
