HEALTH RESEARCH AND POLICY INTERNSHIP - FALL SEMESTER

ATI Advisory is currently seeking an Intern to join our company. 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on a diverse array of healthcare and aging services issues affecting older adults.
  • Draft written summaries, Excel documents/models, and/or PowerPoint presentations to provide strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Review external reports and publications and develop content expertise on a range of healthcare and aging issues. Summarize relevant findings to share internally with team.
  • Provide project management support, including preparation of meeting materials, scheduling meetings, and attending meetings to keep team aligned on client feedback and next steps.
  • Ensure website content is updated with news, events, and content that ATI has produced.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and quantitative skills
  • Ability to synthesize research findings into relevant, concise insights
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Tableau or SAS programming considered a plus
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
  • High degree of professional maturity and comfortable working across multiple projects/teams
  • High level of initiative, quick learning ability, and resourcefulness
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Prior work and/or study experience in healthcare and aging services issues

Requirements:

We will consider candidates with all or a combination of the following:

  • A rising Senior undergraduate student or current graduate student majoring in public policy, public health, public administration, business, statistics, economics, mathematics, or another related field.
  • Interest in the healthcare field and in health and aging policy issues.

DURation:

This is a part-time, twelve-week internship aimed to begin in September. Hours are 20-25 per week (flexible on timing). This is a paid internship.

Analyst / Senior Analyst

ATI Advisory is currently seeking a Analyst / Senior Analyst to join our company. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design research protocols and conduct qualitative and quantitative research on a diverse array of healthcare and aging services issues affecting older adults.
  • Develop summaries, research papers, and PowerPoint presentations to provide strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Solve problems and use judgement to identify and question key assumptions that drive analysis and recommendations.
  • Think creatively about analyses and datasets to deliver value to clients.
  • Responsible for quality and accuracy of analysis.
  • Manage projects from conception and kickoff through final delivery of project.
  • Develop content expertise on a range of healthcare and aging issues.
  • Present to clients on subject matter.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
  • SAS programming, financial modeling, or other quantitative research experience
  • Ability to synthesize extensive research findings into relevant insights

Requirements:

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in public policy, public health, public administration, business, statistics, economics, mathematics, or other related field.
  • 3-6 years of relevant work experience preferred; including consulting, research, program administration, or operations specific to Medicare and/or Medicaid.
  • Experience and comfort in independently analyzing data and information, preparing written summaries and visual displays that clearly convey information.
  • Ability to manage and lead tasks and lead small projects, providing critical insights into project design and execution.
  • Ability to contribute to business development by supporting firm’s thought leadership efforts (e.g., data analysis used in external press) and helping to manage client relationships.
  • Ability to problem solve independently and work with incomplete information.
  • Comfort presenting analyses to external audiences.
  • Demonstrated interest and expertise in at least one area: healthcare policy and regulatory environment; healthcare financing and delivery; Medicare and/or Medicaid; value-based care; Medicare Advantage; long-term services and supports; and aging.

Director

ATI Advisory is currently seeking a Director to join our company. 

ATI seeks a Director to join our company’s Medicare-Medicaid Integration and LTSS Innovation practice. This individual will lead client engagements – from conception to presentation; have experience and comfort in managing to project deadlines and managing individual contributors; have strong understanding of subject matter; and interest in growing with the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple clients and lead engagements as primary point of contact with executive-level clients.
  • Manage multiple projects including project teams, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Build, deepen, and strengthen the value we deliver to clients and our relationships with them.
  • Contribute to business development through developing new lines of consulting services and new client relationships, and cultivating existing relationships.
  • Contribute substantially to mission and impact through analysis and content creation.
  • Lead primary research and/or quantitative analyses.
  • Mentor and support professional development of junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Strong subject matter expertise in one or more of the following: dual-eligible related healthcare policy and regulatory environment (including Medicare and Medicaid programs serving dual eligibles); state Medicaid programs with focus on aged and disabled populations; state Medicaid approaches to integrating with Medicare; managed care programs and/or plans; and, long-term services and supports.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant work-experience consulting to/supporting a wide range of organizations and/or clients in healthcare and aging. Preferred experience in one or more of: health plan operations or strategy, state Medicaid/duals policy, state technical assistance
  • Considerable experience conducting and delivering high quality healthcare research, strategic analysis and recommendations, and/or policy analysis and recommendations.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and knowledge across broad range of projects and sectors.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) appropriate to different audiences and stakeholders, including strong presentation skills.
