Senior Analyst

Amelia applies her unique background in policy, communications, and business strategy to advise clients on health delivery system transformation, dually eligible populations, and social determinants of health.

Prior to joining ATI, she was a senior associate at The Pew Charitable Trusts, where she focused on communications strategy for the/Pew’s antibiotic resistance project. In this role, she drafted action alerts, issue briefs, and talking points to educate policymakers and advocates on policies related to drug innovation and antibiotic stewardship. Amelia worked at the Maryland Department of Aging, where she designed a new health promotion program reporting tool for the state and ran interactive data workshops to gather input from Area Agencies on Aging. She has also completed quantitative research for the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE) to better understand Medicare beneficiaries’ foregone care during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to these roles, she was the Programs and Outreach Coordinator at the National Center for Health Research (NCHR), where she managed a health insurance assistance program and led the nonprofit’s digital outreach. Before starting her career in health policy, Amelia spent a year teaching English in Indonesia on a Fulbright grant.

Amelia has a Master’s in Public Health and a Master’s in Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Italian Studies from Smith College.
