Will Sellheim is a Managing Director in the Provider Strategy and Care Transformation Practice where he applies his expertise in AI and technology-enabled innovation to help clients reach their goals to improve outcomes, capture reimbursement, and increase access.
Before ATI, Will built a business unit at Amazon Web Services (AWS) to serve healthcare organizations that focus on government funded patient care. This work included collaborating with healthcare delivery organizations, plans, and health IT solution providers to build novel generative AI and agentic services that AWS would then bring to market globally. He forged AWS' deepest strategic partnership in healthcare and served as a global expert on how to practically apply technology to help patients and providers across clinical and non-clinical domains.
At Elevance Health, he served as a thought leader and built a delivery system and technology portfolio to inform strategy at the intersection of public policy and operations. In this role he worked across the enterprise to develop strategy and support execution of virtual care, AI, Blockchain, interoperability, prior authorization, and utilization management.
Before that he led clinical strategy at a large integrated health system focusing on neuroscience, oncology, and heart and vascular services. During that time, he led one of the largest multiple sclerosis centers in the world and developed a first-of-its-kind wellness center dedicated to patients managing neurological conditions. He also led the development of a new stem cell transplant program and value-based care strategy for heart and vascular conditions. His health system work gave him a deep understanding of the complex organizational demands required to coordinate integrated care across inpatient, outpatient, post-acute, rehabilitation, and community settings.
His career is deeply rooted in leading health IT at the White House Office of Management and Budget where he coordinated health IT regulatory and budget priorities across the Executive Office of the President, driving delivery system transformation efforts at ONC, CMS, CMMI, FDA, NIST, HRSA, and IHS.
He received his master's from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and his undergraduate degree from SUNY Purchase College.
